Well, this post is for a game. But not the traditional game I'm used to highlighting on this blog. It's to feature my videos for fantasy football advice. I do a weekly ff video on youtube and wanted to post it again somewhere anyone might find it. SO, here it is! This is for week 2 of the 2009 season.

Top 25 Biggest Sellers in 2008
Well VG Chartz just came out with their list of the 25 best selling video games of 2008. No surprise to see that Nintendo dominates the chart but more surprising are some of the titles. Some of them are Mario Kart Wii at number 1, GTA IV XBOX 360 at number 5, Brain Training DS at number 7, Metal Gear Solid PS3 at 17, and Guitar Hero World Tour Wii at number 23.
Some interesting notes. First, Brain Training (the first one) outsold it's sequel this year. A full two years after it debuted! That is insane. Nintendo dominated with 14 of the top spots going to either Wii or DS. And only three of those were non Nintendo titles (GH: World Tour and Mario and SOnic at the Olympics Wii/DS). Activision was the other big winner with 4 titles showing up, three for Call of Duty titles. Last note is that the PSP did make an appearance at number 20 with the immesley popular Monster Hunter 2nd G.
For a full list of the top 25, visit VG Chartz.

I Call Bull Shit!
This is insane. What sounds like a great game (Winter) with a mature horror theme on the best selling game system in the world can't find a publisher. I call BullShit! You can get more info here at VG Chartz.
If Resident Evil 4 can sell over a million and it was just a re-release a new horror game can sell. It's time for some publishers to grow some balls and support the Wii to its fullest.

A Great 2008 Holiday Season for Games
It's been a LONG time since I posted here. I've been busy working on my business, Subo Design and Red Pill Designs, but needed to write something.
I, like many humans, have noticed the World economy going to shit. It's a tough time for many in the world. I have also noticed that this has so far not affected the gaming world like it has almost everything else. Games are still flying off shelves, the Wii was again the number one gaming console this season and the DS Lite was the number one portable again. Great news for Nintendo. Other games doing well are Halo 3, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Call of Duty, Wii Fit, Animal Crossing, Wii Music and Gears of War 2. What's more amazing are the games that have been around what seems like forever that continue to sell in bug numbers! For the week ending December 19th, 2008, Mario Kart Wii sold over 900,000 copies worldwide on its 37th week in release. And New Super Mario Bros. for the DS sold over 500,000 copies in its 136th week! What? I know. It shows that new gamers continually buy the DS Lite.
Also of note, is the fact, that Wii Sports will soon take over the Number One spot of best selling game of all time. Of course this number does include bundled software. But so did the current number one, Super Mario Bros. Right now Super Mario is at 40.24 million and Wii Sports is at 39.68 million. It will be just a couple weeks when we have a new number one. If you would like to check out some numbers for yourself, go to VG Chartz.
We'll see if the gaming community can continue to push through this tough time for the world economy. Only time will tell.
